Lillian Taylor Scapbook

The Lillian Taylor scrapbook, currently residing in the archives at the University of Windsor, provides a personal look into the life of a nursing student between 1932-1935. Lillian Taylor (Reid) attended the Victoria Hospital School of Nursing in London, Ontario undertaking three years of nursing training. Throughout this time she kept a scrapbook which included personal items from family, friends, and patients along with photogrpahs and items she received from Victoria Hospital.

The archives at the University of Windsor also included other items along with Lillian's scrapbook. Found within the archive was also a yearbook from the Victoria Hospital School of Nursing, a paper written by students on the life of Lillian Taylor, and finally, a collection of medals Lillian received during her professional life. Each item allows an intimate look into the life of a nursing student and professional nurse, specifically focusing in the province of Ontario.

Throughout the exhibit you will be able to explore each item in detail, with photographs and descriptions provided in an organized fashion. Please feel free to click on each individual photo for a more in-depth look at each item. We hope you enjoy the exhibit as much as we enjoyed creating it!
